About CPRG &amp; Focus GroupsThe Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) offers DVRPC an opportunity to collaborate with local communities in creating and implementing a regional vision to reduce harmful climate change emissions, particularly in communities To ensure that these efforts are representative of community needs and perspectives, DVRPC is conducting several paid focus groups with about 6-12 participants in each. Residents will learn about the CCAP and share their feedback on the drafted CCAP priorities.Selected participants will receive a stipend of $125 if they attend their assigned focus group. If selected, DVRPC staff will contact participants prior to the focus group to confirm your availability and arrange payment.The goals of the focus group are: Educate the public on CCAP priorities and initiatives.Allow people the opportunity to respond to the CCAP priorities.Learn what people want prioritized in their communities.Who is eligible for the focus group?Our goal is to recruit people from the Philadelphia Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and low-income and disadvantaged communities (LIDAC) for paid focus groups to identify priorities and provide feedback on the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) goals. Recruiting for Resident Focus Group

Vision Zero is a strategy to end all traffic-related deaths and severe injuries by making streets safe for all who use them, from pedestrians and bicyclists to drivers and riders of public transit. The City of Philadelphia has adopted a Vision Zero Action Plan that aims to eliminate traffic deaths by 2030. As part of this effort, DVRPC is studying Wissahickon Avenue from Hunting Park Avenue and Midvale Avenue, and on Midvale to W. Coulter Street, which was identified by the City as a top priority for safety improvements due to its high rate of severe crashes. The study team will conduct extensive neighborhood outreach, research on existing planning efforts, a road safety audit, and a crash traffic analysis, to inform safety improvements on the corridor. Based on these findings, the team will develop a series of recommendations aimed at improving safety, mobility, and quality of life for all users of the street.Get InvolvedTo create robust recommendations that meet the community's needs, the project team will work closely with local stakeholders and gather input from residents. The ideas submitted will be compiled annually and shared with the DVRPC Board and Work Program Committee as a part of that year&#39;s Work Program development process. &nbsp;How to add your idea to the map:<ol><li>Using your mouse, move the map to the possible location for your idea (no need to be specific)<ul><li>You move the map and zoom in the same way you would if using google maps</li></ul></li><li>Click the plus sign (+) on the toolbar to the left of your browser window&nbsp;</li><li>Drag the pin for the category that your idea falls into and place it on the map</li><li>Type your idea into the comment box</li><li>Repeat steps 1-4 for each of your ideas</li></ol>&nbsp; When submitting a Work Program idea, try to be as specific and clear as possible. You know your community the best.&nbsp; Don&#39;t worry about someone having the same or similar idea as you; go ahead and put yours down! That just means the project or study is also a priority for your neighbor.
